National Marriage Week - February 7-14
World Marriage Day - February 9, 2025

The observances of National Marriage Week (Feb. 7-14) and World Marriage Day (Sunday, Feb. 9) are an opportunity to focus on building a culture of life and love that begins with supporting and promoting marriage and the family. We must prioritize this sacred celebration of love and emphasize the beauty of building a strong and dedicated life together. This year's (2025) theme from National Marriage Week USA is "Pursuing a Lasting Love". 

The US Bishops (USCCB) theme is: "Marriage: Source of Hope, Spring of Renewal, Pursue a Lasting Love!" We wish to honor the 2025 Jubilee of Hope as well as the third and final year of the Eucharistic Revival: The Year of Mission.

In California Catholic we are in the midle of the  "Radiate Love / Que Briell El Amor" initiative celebrating Marriage & Family.

As a practical way to incarnate the grace of the Eucharistic Revival into our families and communities, the bishops of California have dedicated the 2024-2025 pastoral year to helping the Catholic faithful renew and deepen our lived experience of the Sacrament of Marriage – which is modeled on the irrevocable covenantal love of God for his people expressed in the Eucharist.

Under the title “Radiate Love / Que Brielle El Amor,” every Catholic community is invited to participate in this initiative, which began on World Marriage Day – February 11, 2024 and contnues through all of 2025. Couples all over the globe are called by God to invest in their relationships and let that love radiate out to the whole world, first and foremost in their own family.
