MIGRANT MINISTRY SPECIALIST - DIOCESE OF STOCKTON PASTORAL CENTER
The Diocese of Stockton Migrant Ministry office has an immediate opening for a full-time Migrant Ministry Specialist, this position is 35 hours per week, and is an extension of the Bishop’s Ministry.
This position will develop a process of evangelization for the migrant community that offers and promotes the integral formation that will support their cultural and religious values. This position will work with local parishes to develop leadership groups to address the specific necessities of the migrant camps in the parishes’ parochial area and is responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation and revision of the Pastoral Plan for Migrant Ministry in collaboration with the Director of Migrant Ministry; promote and impel catechist formation for migrants that is already in place and organize such formation where it is not, in collaboration with the corresponding diocesan offices and the parish. Works with the Director of the offices of Migrant & Hispanic Ministry in the annual Grant application proposal for Migrant Ministry and in preparing the report at the end of the year.

(35 hours per week) Primary responsibilities include managing the daily flow of work in the Tribunal (as stipulated in Dignitas Connubii, art. 61 §2), supervising and evaluating its staff, managing documentary and administrative processes, and handling requests for matrimonial dispensations and permissions.
Required Qualifications:
Fully initiated member of the Catholic Church.
Licentiate or doctorate in canon law.
Commitment to the ecclesial vision and mission of Vatican II.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent written communication skills.
Valid California Driver's License.
Knowledge of Spanish is helpful.
