The DRE Specialization provides the basic skills and the theological competencies set by the National Conference of Catechetical Leadership in its Certification Standards for Professional Parish Directors of Religious Education. This specialization is a 40 hour course which consists of nine sessions and a Retreat Day.
Ability to study at a college level
Commitment to attend all classes
Committement to keep current on reading and assignments
Active class participation
Complete the Introduction to Theology for Ministry through the School of Ministry
A letter of recomendation from the applicant's pastor is required
The record of partipation in the Introduction to Theology or equivalent
Documentation of ministerial experience

The catechist specialization is a thirty-hour program designed to provide parish catechists with proper metholodogy and skills for effective teaching.
The specialization course is made up of 10 sessions and concludes with a full day retreat.
