The Black Catholic Ministry cultivates the rich diversity of the Black Catholic community in general, and particularly, in the Diocese of Stockton. Its mission is to educate the Church on the contributions of the Black Catholic community as it shares its gifts in the Church and society. Guided by the Holy Spirit, the ministry advocates for equality in education, social justice, and pastoral ministries throughout the Church and the community. It strives towards equal participation for all by raising consciousness within the Diocese, while offering advice to the Bishop in matters concerning the Black Catholic Community. Authentically Black and truly Catholic!
