Ministry of Solidarity

We are clearly called by our Lord to care for those in need whether they are across the street or across the ocean. The Social Ministry Committee will explore ways to be “in solidarity” with sisters and brothers in other parts of the world. Specific action might include organizing a highly successful Rice Bowl Collection. It might be finding a parish either within our diocese or in another part of the world to "twin" with. It might mean becoming a Catholic Relief Services partner to a project in another part of the world. The opportunities are endless. Certainly helping other parishioners to know of the wonderful work of CRS and Propagation of the Faith at the time of the annual collections for these national programs should be an important aspect of the work to be done.
