Parish
Education Project Kits
The Parish Education Project Kits are available
in every parish. These kits contain model presentations designed
to educate our Catholic community on many of the life issues
that challenge us today:
- Euthanasia/Assisted Suicide
- Death Penalty
- Abortion
- Post-Abortion Syndrome
- Natural Family Planning
- Chastity/Abstinence
These presentations are meant to serve as a
brief introduction to the above topics and should only be
about 30-40 minutes. Each subject has an information sheet,
resource listing of Church documents, website referrals and
a short film. The kits contain details on how to give a presentation.
Parishioners can “check out” a topic from the Parish Office
and use it to give informational sessions on life issues to
the parish at large or to specific parish groups (such as
youth groups, Knights of Columbus, Legion of Mary, Parent
Boosters, etc.).
For more in-depth information or workshops on
any of the life issues, call the Diocesan Respect Life Office,
465-5433 or 1-800-396-8777.
A Prayer for Life
Father and maker of all,
you adorn all creation
with splendor and beauty, and fashion human lives
in your image and likeness.
Awaken in every heart
reverence for the work of your hands,
and renew among your people
a readiness to nurture and sustain
your precious gift of life.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in
the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
