Ecclesial Ministries
Permanent Diaconate
Trains, ordains and dedicates Permanent Deacons in service
of the Liturgy, the Gospel, Justice and Charity.
Vocation
Ministry
Encourages and nurtures the call to priesthood and consecrated
life for men and women.
Education & Faith Formation
Catholic
Schools
Provides leadership and administrative support to ensure our
schools remain faith-centered and constantly committed to
improving the quality of Catholic education.
Religious
Education
Serves as a training and retreat resource to parishes and
clergy and coordinates the annual Ministry Celebration Day.
Safe
Environment for Children & Youth
Implements the Bishops’ “Charter for the Protection
of Children and Young People” through training, school
curriculum and background checks. Also establishes standards
for all clergy, lay workers and volunteers.
School
of Ministry
Trains lay ministers for leadership and service in parishes
throughout the Diocese.
Youth & Young Adult Ministry
Serves in both English and Spanish speaking communities, certifying
pastoral leaders and providing spiritual growth opportunities
through retreats, missions and other events.
Liturgy & Spirituality Services
Office
for Worship
Serves as a resource to parishes, clergy and lay people in
matters concerning the sacraments and liturgy.
Christian
Initiation (RCIA)
Assists RCIA parish coordinators and teams in preparing individuals
to become fully initiated into the Catholic Church.
Social Ministries
Hispanic
Apostolate
Serves as a resource to parishes, lay people, apostolic movements,
Diocesan and community organizations serving the Hispanic
community.
Migrant
Pastoral Ministry
Responds to the needs of the migrant community in our Diocese
identifying needs and supporting parish leaders.
Respect
Life
Works for the enhancement of human dignity and respect for
life from conception through natural death.
Social
Ministry
Develops and activates committees for service and advocacy
in parishes and connects them for joint action on local and
state-wide issues.
Special
Education
Assists individuals with special needs and their families
throughout the Diocese.
Other Ministries
The
Tribunal
Serves as the Church court, hearing cases for the invalidity
of marriage and advising the Diocese on matters of Canon Law.
Ministry Administration
Office
of the Bishop
Administers, oversees and fosters communication for all Diocesan
ministries and includes the Bishop, Vicar General, Chancellor
and Office of Communications. The Newman Ministry of the University
of the Pacific is also part of this Office.

Ministerios Eclesiales
Diaconato
Permanente
Entrena, ordena y dedica Diáconos Permanentes al servicio
de la Liturgia, el Evangelio, la Justicia y la Caridad.
Ministerio De Vocaciones
Anima y nutre el llamado al sacerdocio y a la vida consagrada
de hombres y mujeres.
Educación Y Formación
De La Fe
Escuelas
Catolicas
Proveen dirección y estímulo para asegurarse
de que nuestras escuelas permanecan firmes en la fé
y constantemente dedicadas a mejorar la calidad de educación
católica.
Educacion Religiosa
Sirve como recurso para entrenamiento y retiro a las parroquias
y el clero y coordina el Día de la Celebración
de Ministerios.
Ambiente Sano para Niños Y Jovenes
Implementa la “Encartación para la Protección
de Niños y Jóvenes” del Obispo, por medio
del adiestramiento, currículo escolar e investigación
de antecedentes. Tambien establece normas de conducta para
el clero, empleados laicos y voluntarios.
Escuela de Ministerios
Adiestra a ministros laicos para liderazo y servicio en las
parroquias a través de la Diócesis.
Ministerio De Juveniles Y Adultos Jovenes
Le sirve a ambas comunidades de inglés y español,
certificando líderes parroquiales y estableciendo oportunidades
para el desarrollo espiritual por medio de retiros, misiones
y otros eventos.
Servicios Litugicos Y Espirituales
Oficina Del Culto
Le sirve de recurso a las parroquias, el clero y la gente
laica en asuntos relacionados con los sacramentos y la liturgia.
Iniciation Cristiana (RCIA)
Asiste a los coordidnadores de RCIA (Iniciación Cristiana
Para Adultos) y sus grupos de apoyo a preparar individuos
para su iniciación completa en la Iglesia.
Ministerios Sociales
Apostolado Hispano
Le sirve de recurso a las parroquias, gente laica, movimientos
apostólicos y organizaciones diocesanas y comunitarias
al servicio de la comunidad Hispana.
Ministerio Pastoral Migratorio
Responde a las necesidades de la comunidad migratoria en nuestra
Diócesis, identificando las necesidades y apoyando
a los líderes de la parroquia.
Respeto A La Vida
Labora por el acrecentamiento de la dignidad humana y el respeto
a la vida desde la concepción hasta la muerte natural.
Ministerio Social
Desarrolla y crea comités para el servicio y defensa
de las parroquias, y las conecta para acción unida
en asuntos locales y estatales.
Educacion Especial
Asiste a individuos con necesidades especiales y a sus familias
a través de la Diócesis.
Otros Ministerios
El Tribunal
Sirve como Corte eclesiástica en audiencia de casos
referentes a la invalidez de matrimonio y aconseja a la Diócesis
en asuntos de ley canóniga.
Servicios Administrativos Diocesanos
Oficina Obispal
Administra, vigila y fomenta comunicación para todos
los ministerios Diocesanos e incluye al Obispo, Vicario General,
Canciller y Oficina de Comunicaciones. El Ministerio Newman
de la Universidad del Pacífico tambien forma parte
de esta oficina.
