Letter
Dear Friends,
As the new year begins we are launching our
2005 Bishop’s Ministry Appeal with great hope and energy
for the work ahead. Through the success of this appeal, we
are able to do the Lord’s work in all six counties of
the Stockton Diocese.
We live in difficult times for the Church.
But we must continue to teach our children, train new lay
leadership, encourage vocations, welcome the stranger, protect
the vulnerable and worship our God. I assure you that 100%
of
your contributions to the Bishop’s Ministry Appeal will
be used for that purpose.
I invite each of you to join hands with others
in the Diocese of Stockton to do God’s work. Please
remember to keep the success of the appeal and the good work
of our ministries in your prayers. Thank you for sharing your
blessings. With

Queridos Amigos,
A medida que comienza el nuevo año,
estamos lanzando nuestra Solicitud Ministerial del Obispo
2005 con gran esperanza y energía por la tarea que
nos espera. Por medio del éxito de esta solicitud,
podremos hacer la obra del Señor en los seis condados
de la Diócesis de Stockton.
Estamos viviendo tiempos difíciles en
la Iglesia. Pero debemos continuar enseñando a nuestros
niños, entrenar nuevo liderazo laico, fomentar vocaciones,
acoger a extraños, proteger a los débiles y
adorar a nuestro Dios. Les aseguro
que 100% de sus donativos a la Soliditud Ministerial del Obispo
serán usados con ese propósito.
Les invito a todos y cada uno a unirse de manos
con otros en la Diócesis de Stockton para hacer la
obra de Dios. Por favor acuérdense de orar por el éxito
de la solicitud y la buena labor de nuestros ministerios.
