Specialized Ministry Training

Specialized Ministry Trainings provide skills training for specific ministries. The School of Ministry, in collaboration with other diocesan offices, offers this training. Participants need the recommendation of the pastor or his delegate in order to receive credit for the training.

Parishes may request that a particular training course be offered for their ministers by contacting the School of Ministry Office. Upon request of a parish the School of Ministry can offer the following specializations, provided the minimum enrollment requirements are met:

Catechumenate Process (RCIA)

Liturgical Ministry

Catechesis: Adult, Elementary/Jr. High

Marriage Preparation Facilitator Training

Youth Ministry

Marriage Tribunal Aide Training

Ministry of Consolation

Pre-baptismal Catechesis

Ministry to the Divorced

Communion Ministers to the Sick
and Homebound

Leadership in Scripture Studies

The staff is also available to meet with the ministerial leadership to help them assess the parish’s training and formation needs.
