Basic Theology for Ministry Course |

| What is it? An introductory course on the core teachings of the Catholic Church. |

| Its purpose: - To prepare those involved in parish ministry with a basic understanding of Catholic theology - To fulfill the theological requirements for the California Conference for the Certification of Catechists - To provide a theological foundation for those considering entering the diaconate process |
||||||||||||||
| Prerequisites: - A practicing Catholic - Ability to commit to study and reflection assignments - Present involvement in church ministry preferred |
||||||||||||||
| Time Commitment: - Seven to eight 2 ½ hour sessions per unit - A minimum of one to two hours of outside study and activity for every hour of class |
||||||||||||||
| Fee: $75.00 per unit Each participant is expected to have access to a Catholic Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. |
