Ernesto's Journey to Priesthood
When I was thirteen, I didn’t want to be a priest. I imagined priestly life to be the most boring thing someone could do. But, when I turned fifteen, I felt that God was calling me to the priesthood. This call evoked in me two feelings: one of fear and one of peace. For the following two years, I struggled with God’s call until I finally gave in, but not completely. I wanted to finish college and then see if priesthood was still for me. In college, God’s call became stronger, so I began the process involved in entering  the seminary.

Scripture that Inspires Ernesto
My favorite Scripture passage is when Peter tells Jesus: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life; and we  have believed and have come to know that you are the Holy One of God” (John 6:68-69). This passage reminds me about the Eucharist, and the Eucharist is the reason why I believe in God, why I am Catholic, and why I want to be a priest.
