Cesar's Journey to Priesthood

My discernment to the priesthood started in 2006 during my last semester at California State University, Stanislaus. During this last semester I was already thinking on my future and my goals were to get a girlfriend, to get a good job, to buy a new car, and to eventually buy a house and get marry.

However, the question that kept coming to my mind was “Is that it in life?” I did not know the answer to this question, but I knew that there was something else. It was a personal call to the priesthood. God’s call to the priesthood is an invitation to follow Him voluntarily and serve God’s people, and we either accept it or reject it. So after two long years of discernment I decided by the grace of God to enter the seminary to see if it was the right call for me or not.

Now, after finishing two year already in the seminary I can say that I am blessed to be there and that God gives you whatever you need if it is His will. I am glad that God had this plan for my life.

Scripture that Inspires Cesar
My favorite story in the bible is the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32), because the love that God the Father has for us is unconditional. No matter what we do, his love and mercy is always there.
