After prayer and consultation, Bishop Blaire made the decision to embark upon a historic campaign entitled Church for Tomorrow.
The campaign will ensure the Church can respond to the constant growth of our Diocese and prepare for the next generation of Catholics. It is also going to benefit parishes which will receive a portion of everything that raised.
The Diocese has been blessed with dramatic population growth, diversity, and great economic expansion. There has been a 42% increase in the Catholic population in the last twelve years. By all accounts, this trend is projected to continue.
This is ultimately a blessing because it builds the Body of Christ, but the growing number of Catholics places a strain on the current needs for services offered by the parishes and Diocesan Ministries. The Diocese needs to be prepared to serve this growing population in the future.
There has never been a campaign like this in the history of our Diocese. Church for Tomorrow seeks to raise a minimum of $30 million.
